Sing it backwards, hear it forwards
Reverse Song turns the viral reverse singing challenge into a game with a score. Record a line, listen to it reversed, sing what you hear, and find out how close you got.
No account. Your recordings stay on your phone.
How a challenge works
Three steps, about a minute
Record a short line
Sing up to 15 seconds of any song, or pick one of the song lines in the app.
Listen to it reversed
Play it backwards as often as you like, at 0.5×, 0.75× or full speed, then sing what you hear.
Get your score
Your attempt is reversed back and scored out of 100 for melody and timing.
Played backwards, a good attempt sounds like the original. Read the full walkthrough, or see exactly how the score is worked out.
What the app does
Everything for the reverse challenge
A score for every attempt
Melody and timing, out of 100, with a clear label from "Keep practising" to "Nailed it!". You can see yourself improve from one try to the next.
A new song line every day
The daily challenge gives everyone the same line on the same day. Keep a streak going, and track your highest score for each song.
24 song lines to sing
Traditional and public-domain songs in Easy, Medium and Hard, from "Amazing Grace" to "Wellerman". Or sing any line you like.
Quick Reverse
Just want to hear something backwards? Tap record, speak or sing, and hear it reversed straight away. You can also open an audio file from your phone.
Play with your clips
Every take is saved in your library. Play it forwards or reversed, change speed and pitch, or try Chipmunk and Deep voice.
Share it, or challenge a friend
Make a vertical video with an animated waveform and your score, or send a friend a reversed clip and see if they can sing it back.
